Job Description
Role Purpose:
Responsible for preparing and distributing a company’s payroll, preparing tax documents, ensuring all hours, benefits, and deductions are logged correctly, and keeping payroll accounts balanced.
Key Accountabilities & Activities
- Ensure all payroll accounts are balanced.
- Enter employee personal information into payroll database.
- Prepare and submit payroll documents.
- Adhere to state and federal regulations for payroll processing.
- Explain benefits and payroll processes to new employees.
- Respond to inquiries from employees about salaries and wages.
- Process overtime payments.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Prepare year-end payroll reports.
- Report to finance manager or HR services director with updates and problems.
- Set up direct deposits.
- Prepare and distribute paper checks when necessary.
- Contact banks and the IRS for any deposit, withdrawal, or tax questions and discrepancies.
- Assist finance department in preparing for an audit.
- Keep detailed and organized payroll records.
- Communicate regularly with benefits experts and finance managers to ensure employee records and accounts are aligned.
Background, Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar role.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Business, or related field.
- Strong written and oral communication in English and Arabic.
