Job Description
Role Summary:
As Manager Facility Management, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the overall operations and maintenance of the facilities to ensure efficient functioning of facilities, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and the provision of a comfortable and safe environment for occupants
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, security, and janitorial services.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs to prevent breakdowns and ensure the proper functioning of facility systems and equipment.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely and quality services for facility maintenance and operations.
- Manage the budget allocated for facility maintenance, renovations, and operational costs, optimizing resource allocation.
- Develop long-term facility planning strategies to address future needs and ensure facilities meet the organization's requirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for all facility occupants.
- Ensure that facilities comply with all relevant safety, health, and building codes, as well as other regulatory requirements.
- Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices to promote environmental stewardship within the facilities.
- Optimize space utilization to accommodate changes in workforce, operations, and organizational needs.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures to handle crises and protect facility occupants.
- Review comprehensive reports on facility maintenance activities, budget performance, and safety compliance for management review.
- Lead and manage a team of facility staff, providing guidance, support, and mentoring to achieve facility management goals.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, business administration, or a related field. Additional education or certifications in facility management would be an advantage.
Competencies
- Several years of experience in facility management, including managing complex facilities and teams.
- Strong leadership qualities to oversee facility staff and ensure smooth facility operations.
- Proficiency in facility operations, maintenance practices, safety regulations, and building systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, vendors, and management effectively.
- Effective problem-solving skills to address complex facility-related challenges and find practical solutions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple facility management tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to adapt to changing facility needs and work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
