Job Description

Position Overview:

As a Linux System Administrator, you'll be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining our Linux-based systems. You'll ensure our infrastructure is secure, scalable, and performing optimally. Working closely with our development team, you'll troubleshoot system issues and optimize network configurations to support our real-time data processing. This role requires strong command-line skills, experience with Red Hat, and a solid grasp of Linux networking.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and related applications.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
Implement security protocols and best practices to safeguard server data.
Automate tasks using scripts and configuration management tools.
Provide technical support to users and resolve system-related inquiries.
Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Collaborate with other IT teams to support application deployments and updates.
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Linux administration.

Skills

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Linux Systems Administrator or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
Familiarity with virtualization and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Understanding of network protocols and security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
