Line Electrician
POSITION SNAPSHOT

As the Line Electrician, you are responsible for the preventative electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical equipment in the factory. You will follow plant sanitation practices and procedures while staying informed of new technology and equipment as it pertains to plant operations. Working in a safe manner at all times, you will play a major role in machine reliability and process improvements across the plant. Our maintenance work includes both predictive and preventative maintenance. The position is located in a Green Field Food Factory in Saudi Arabia.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot, repair and Preventive all electrical equipment in the factory safely.
Meets all Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental requirements when performing job duties.
Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis.
Design, program and troubleshoot plant PLCs, VFDs, input/output devices and associated equipment.
Read, update, and create electrical prints and documentation.
Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators.
Applied knowledge of LV & MV systems, single phase and (3) phase electrical power.
Complete incident investigations for downtime and quality deviations to determine root cause and propose or implement corrective and preventive actions.
Collaborate with team members to maintain equipment and solve technical problems.
Manage the instrument calibration program for regulatory and quality compliance.
Able to work in rotational shifts, weekends & public holidays.
What will make you successful…
High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of complex electrical, automation and mechanical systems in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment –OR-- Technical degree or certification with 2+ years of relevant industrial electrical experience.
Preference for work on a manufacturing facility in the Food and Beverages industry, or other Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
Experience in Electrical Preventive Maintenance activities of Medium & Low Voltage Switchgears, MCCs, VFDs, induction motors, servo motors, all kinds of sensors, instruments etc.
Experience in PLC & HMI, basic knowledge of programming software preferably Allen Bradley (Control Logix, Compact Logix), Siemens etc.
Experience in working with VFDs like Allen Bradley, Danfoss, Siemens etc.
Experience in working with Servo drives like Allen Bradley, Schneider etc.
Experience of Instrument Calibration Program for various devices like flow meters, level transmitters, pressure transmitters, conductive transmitters, temperature transmitters, metal detectors, X-ray machines, weighing scales, check weighers, moisture analyzers, load cells, O2/CO2 analyzers, ammonia gas detectors etc.
Personnel Supervision (of technical teams, contractors, or other 3rd parties)
Good Knowledge of electrical distribution systems (low & medium voltage installations).
Good Knowledge of local electrical codes and standards.
Good Knowledge of Instrumentation and Calibration process.
Good knowledge of SAP / Asset Maintenance Management (AMM).
knowledge of automation systems and equipment (HMI - Human-Machine Interface, PLC - Programmable Logic Controller, Industrial networks, etc.).
Proficiency in English is required.
