Legal Counseling Manager



Job Description



JOB PURPOSE



To contribute to the provision of strategic legal advice, and Lead legal projects, develop frameworks, and represent the Authority in litigation and dispute resolution, ensuring effective legal counsel and resolution of legal matters in line with organizational objectives and national regulations.

DESCRIPTION



Legal Counseling



§ provide legal advice and recommendations in multiple areas of the law and to support the decision-making process in order to safeguard and protect the legal interests of the Authority against any legal liability, while managing legal risks.
§ Provide legal counseling to internal departments when required, to support the business entities in making related decisions.
§ participate in internal and external legal projects related to national policies, regulations and circulars.
§ design Legal Counseling framework and install best-practices, methodologies, techniques and principles.

Litigation and Dispute Settlements



§ conduct legal research on various matters e.g. entities, suppliers, vendors, etc. with a view of recovering the Authority’s rights or minimizing liability, fulfilling obligations and reaching an amicable settlement in line with management’s discretion.
§ represent the Authority before courts and other related judicial-bodies to ensure all legal cases are resolved in the best interest of the authority.
§ Prepare point of claim, point of appeal, injunction applications and all sort of litigations documents.
§ evaluate litigation cases and discuss with the related party to ascertain facts and circumstances of the situation and develops a plan of action to complete the successful resolution of the case.
§ Contribute to the process of litigation, review statements with legal effect and follow up on court hearing outcomes and provide appropriate legal counsel to ensure resolution of legal cases.
§ report and investigate violations of laws and regulations to take appropriate legal action on nonconformities and non-compliances.
§ handle disputes and cases filed on behalf of or against the Authority.

§ Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
§ prepare timely and accurate reports and functional deliverables to meet the functional requirements in order to achieve the desired efficiency and performance excellence.
