Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced legal counsel to join our dynamic team at Bosch in Riyadh, KSA.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing legal support and guidance to the operations primarily in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of legal strategies for potential projects in the other countries in the Middle East Region.
This role will be based in Riyadh KSA.
- Be responsible for providing legal advice to the business teams on the full range of issues (mainly corporate and commercial matters)
- Be responsible for drafting, evaluating and negotiating contracts for Bosch business units including but not limited to sales, purchasing, licensing, services, NDA, M&A or other strategic transactions.
- Providing holistic risk assessment and suggestions to enhance business value while mitigating downside risk across multiple areas of the company
- Partner with cross-functional and regional teams to provide support on a wide range of transactional matters
- Provide proactive, in-depth, strategic, business focused advice and support on general commercial matters and transactions
- Assign external counsel to provide legal advice where necessary, including identifying issues for advice
- Advise Bosch businesses on legislation and implement solutions to address issues
- Ensure legal compliance with the laws
- Work with the business teams to develop template legal documents and contracts
- Follow up litigation processes, maintain and update reports,
- Develop relevant and creative solutions to meet current and evolving business needs
- Work with other legal teams closely and involve in global projects
- Support for digital transformation and ensure its active implementation
Qualifications
- A law degree from a reputable university (LL.B) is required. Master of laws (LL.M), preferably in Europe or in the US, is an advantage
- Preferably 4-7 years' experience as a qualified lawyer or a legal counsel at an international law firm and/or corporate legal department at a multinational company, preferably in KSA
- Experience in corporate & commercial legal practice in KSA and Middle East Region, experience in service and technology relevant transactions
- Advanced level of English is a must. Arabic language (verbally and written) is highly desirable.
- Great legal and business judgement in particular in ambiguous situations
- Ability to use legal tech tools, research on legal databases and being curious about technology
