Major responsibilities include:
+ provide strong leadership to the department;
+ collaborate with collegiate leadership; faculty development and mentorship;
+ maintain close cooperation with other departments;
+ maintain an independent or collaborative research/scholarship program;
+ actively participate in service activities at the collegiate, regional, and national levels;
+ maintain an active involvement in the clinical/didactic teaching efforts of the department in Periodontology at the Pre/Doctoral levels;
+ actively participate in the departmental faculty practice plan; and
* cultivate an environment of inclusion and respect for students, faculty, and staff with the department and the college.
