Job Description

Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies and initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve supplier performance, and mitigate supply chain risks.


Conduct market analysis and supplier assessments to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and assess market trends, pricing dynamics, and supply chain risks.


Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, supply chain, finance, and operations, to understand business requirements, establish sourcing priorities, and develop sourcing plans aligned with organizational objectives.


Lead supplier selection and evaluation processes, including issuing requests for proposals (RFPs), conducting supplier negotiations, and evaluating supplier proposals based on quality, cost, delivery, and other criteria.


Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and conditions, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.


Manage supplier relationships and performance, including conducting supplier audits, monitoring supplier performance metrics, and resolving performance issues and disputes in a timely and effective manner.


Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes and practices, including identifying opportunities to streamline procurement processes, optimize supplier relationships, and leverage economies of scale.


Develop and maintain supplier scorecards, performance dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supplier performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive accountability.


Monitor market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency gains, and competitive advantage in strategic sourcing.


Provide guidance and support to procurement teams, project teams, and stakeholders on strategic sourcing best practices, procurement policies, and contract management procedures.



Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:



Minimum Qualifications:    
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field; master's degree or professional certification in Strategic Sourcing or Supply Chain Management is advantageous.


Minimum Experience:    
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management roles, with progressive experience in developing and implementing sourcing strategies and managing supplier relationships.


Experience in conducting market analysis, supplier assessments, and supplier negotiations, with a proven track record of achieving cost savings, process improvements, and supplier performance improvements.


Skills:    


Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing principles, methodologies, and best practices, including category management, supplier segmentation, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.


Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing agreements with suppliers, and manage contract compliance and performance.


Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex sourcing data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights and recommendations for sourcing strategy development and execution.
