PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Execute a safe, controlled & efficient material receipt, location control and issue process, in line with the company's work procedures, based on priorities given by the Warehouse manager.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
- On larger sized projects: Leading the administrative staff and blue-collar warehouse staff, mainly as a cooperating foreman.
- On smaller sized projects: Execute administrative and blue-collar warehouse duties.
- Perform commercial incoming goods inspections (including certificate check) according to company's procedures
- Register the formal hand-over points at receipt & at issue of materials
- Perform/ Supervise safe warehouse related horizontal and vertical movements
- Perform/ Supervise safe offloading of delivered materials & loading of issued materials
- Perform/ Supervise storage of the received materials in the most safe and suitable (lockable, fenced-off, conditioned) location
- Perform/ Supervise picking and issuance of free issue materials to subcontractors
- Handle spare and left-over materials
- MMS data/information interpretation and follow-up
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Running safe and tidy and administered warehouse facilities under supervision of the Warehouse Manager.
- The quality of warehouse related movements data in MMS.
- Maintaining of an auditable file of the formal hand-over documents at receipt & at issue of materials.
- Assigning tasks to and leading of administrative staff and blue-collar warehouse staff under his/her supervision.
- The actions of the administrative staff and blue-collar warehouse staff, under his/her supervision
- Has the authority to refuse work under unsafe circumstances.
COOPERATION AND COMMUNICATION
- To perform the principal duties, the most frequently required contacts are with:
- (Senior) Warehouse manager
- Administrative staff and blue-collar warehouse staff
- Expeditors
- Truck-drivers
- Contractor representatives
- Supplier representatives
QUALIFICATION:
- Secondary (Technical) School + professional experience with supplementary general education.
- Basic Safety Certification
LANGUAGES/ COMMUNICATION SKILLS
- Good knowledge of active and passive English.
- Able to communicate verbally and by email on MBO level
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in a similar position in small and medium size or program related field construction projects or equivalent.
PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE
- Understanding of cycle of materials from cradle to grave in an EPC environment
- Understanding of –to be received- materials including handling and storage precautions
- Ability to operate & maintain company's Materials Management system and/or experience with similarmaterials management systems
- Good Oil & gas related material knowledge, especially pipe bulks & valves
- Good average understanding of material short descriptions/ specifications
