Job Description
A laptop technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining laptops and related hardware. Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Identify hardware and software issues through tests and assessments, using diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs on faulty components, such as hard drives, screens, keyboards, and batteries. This may include replacing parts, soldering, or upgrading hardware.
- Software Installation and Configuration: Install operating systems, drivers, and applications. Configure settings for optimal performance and user experience.
- Customer Support: Assist customers with technical inquiries, providing solutions or guidance on using their laptops effectively.
- Preventive Care: Conduct regular maintenance checks, cleaning, and updates to ensure laptops are functioning efficiently.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and services provided for warranty and inventory management.
