Job Description
Project Coordination:Landscape Scope Management:Oversee the execution of the landscape design, ensuring that all aspects (softscapes, hardscapes, irrigation, etc.) are included in the scope and are delivered as per the project requirements.Work closely with landscape architects, design teams, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of the landscape elements into the overall project.Scheduling and Budgeting:Develop, manage, and update the landscape package schedule, ensuring that all milestones are met on time.Monitor and control the landscape budget, ensuring that costs stay within the prescribed limits and adjusting resources as necessary to avoid overruns.Procurement Management:Coordinate procurement of all materials, including plants, hardscape materials (pavers, stones, concrete), and irrigation components.Evaluate and select suppliers and subcontractors for various landscape components and negotiate contracts for competitive pricing and quality assurance.Team and Contractor Management:Subcontractor Oversight:Hire and manage landscape subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring they adhere to project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.Facilitate communication between subcontractors and project teams to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any issues quickly.On-Site Supervision:Supervise the installation of landscape elements, ensuring quality standards, design accuracy, and adherence to project specifications.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and check for issues that may need resolution.Provide hands-on support during critical phases of the landscape installation (e.g., planting, hardscape construction).Design and Technical Support:Design Integration:Collaborate with landscape architects and designers to interpret and integrate landscape designs into the project. Ensure the landscape vision is properly executed.Review plans for constructability, offering recommendations for improvements where necessary to enhance project outcomes.Technical Expertise:Ensure that all landscape installations are performed according to best practices for drainage, soil quality, irrigation, and plant health.Advise the team on technical aspects of landscape installation, such as grading, irrigation systems, and sustainable practices.Quality Control and Compliance:Quality Assurance:Ensure all landscape elements meet high-quality standards and match the approved design specifications.Monitor the completion of works in phases, identifying and addressing defects or inconsistencies as they arise.Regulatory Compliance:Ensure all landscaping work complies with local environmental, zoning, and construction codes.Implement sustainable and water-efficient practices, such as using native plants, efficient irrigation systems, and eco-friendly materials where applicable.Safety Oversight:Enforce safety standards on site, ensuring that all landscaping work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.Client and Stakeholder Communication:Client Liaison:Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team and the client for all landscape-related matters.Provide regular updates to the client on progress, address concerns, and ensure any design changes are communicated clearly and executed accordingly.Stakeholder Reporting:Prepare and deliver progress reports for clients, senior managers, and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, risks, or delays in the landscape portion of the project.Coordinate with other departments, such as construction, civil engineering, and environmental teams, to ensure the landscape package aligns with other project activities.
