Job Description
Role Purpose
To execute the quality control plan, policies, and procedures and perform testing of products based on agreed testing methods in order to maintain high quality and food safety standards within the plant.
Key Accountabilities:
Daily Operations
- Do routine & assigned analysis/activities as per sampling/monitoring and control plan of their respective area / section.
- Timely inform about the results of analysis and status of the product.
- Maintain the result recording properly, correctly, timely and in an orderly manner into defined control record sheets.
Reporting and Escalation
- Inform any abnormality about production in line, filling or any other matter to his superiors and to the concerned area supervise/in charge.
- Stop/hold production in case of major abnormalities or non-conformance and inform supervisor immediately.
- Ensure that all departmental reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet the company and department requirements, standards, policies and procedures
Equipment Maintaining
- Do calibration and monitoring of the lab equipment/devices and keep records.
- Inform about any problem, malfunction of the instrument to superiors and to keep instruments in perfect order.
- Temperature recording of lab and relevant equipment.
Support
- Assist the Lab Leader in special Analysis/Lab activities.
- Responsible for all activities/analysis in absence of Laboratory Leader.
- Perform analysis for trials and new products.
Laboratory Management System
- Responsible for the proper maintenance of the laboratory management system in accordance with the GLP Standards
- Strictly follow the GLP/safety guidelines while doing analysis.
- Participate & assist for GLP & Laboratory management system implementation in Laboratory.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the laboratory.

Policies, Processes & Procedures
- implement approved departmental policies, processes, procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
- Follow standard operational procedure to ensure that all assigned tasks are carried out in a safe manner with good quality as per specified standards mentioned in SOP.
Safety, Quality & Environment
- Responsible and have the authority to stop any work or equipment which is of immediate risk to safety, health and environment.
- Reporting near-miss, and safety risks on time through safety tags.
- Ensure LOTO application during troubleshooting and plant activities for routine and non-routine tasks.
- Respect, maintain, and follow GMP, Personal hygiene, Housekeeping, Equipment cleaning, Floor cleaning, Zoning, 5S are respected and maintained on a daily basis.
- Adhere for all Food Safety system standards
- Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
