Job Description


The Kitman is responsible for managing all aspects of the football team’s equipment and kits, ensuring that players have the necessary apparel, equipment, and accessories for training sessions, matches, and travel. This role involves maintaining, organizing, and distributing team kits, equipment, and supplies, while working closely with the Team Sr. Manager to meet the operational needs of the 1st team.



Kit and Equipment Management:

• Oversee the organization, maintenance, and distribution of all 1st team kits, including training gear, matchday uniforms, and travel apparel.

• Ensure that all kits and equipment are cleaned, repaired, and stored properly after each use.

• Manage the inventory of kits and equipment, coordinating orders and replacements as needed.

Matchday Preparation:

• Prepare and distribute matchday kits, ensuring that each player has the correct gear and equipment for matches.

• Set up the dressing room with the necessary kits, accessories, and player-specific items ahead of matches and training sessions.

• Coordinate with the coaching and medical teams to ensure all necessary supplies are available on matchdays.

Logistical Support:

• Coordinate the transportation of team kits and equipment for away matches, ensuring all items are accounted for and delivered to the appropriate location.

• Work with the logistics team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of kits and equipment for both home and away games.

• Ensure that all necessary kits and equipment are available for training sessions, camps, and travel.

Inventory and Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate records of all kits and equipment, including tracking inventory levels, usage, and replacements.

• Coordinate with suppliers to order new kits and equipment as required, ensuring that all items meet the club’s quality standards.

• Keep a detailed log of kit distribution and player-specific needs.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure that all equipment complies with league and club regulations, including matchday uniforms and training gear.

• Adhere to health and safety protocols for handling and maintaining equipment, particularly during travel and matchday preparations.

• Ensure that all equipment is properly sanitized and maintained, in line with club hygiene standards.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Liaise with the coaching, medical, and performance teams to ensure all players’ kit and equipment needs are met.

• Provide timely updates to the Team Sr. Manager regarding the status of kits, equipment, and any issues that may affect matchday preparations.

• Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of kits and equipment.
