Key Account Manager - MOH
Basic Purpose
The Key Account Manager (KAM) will manage the Ministry of Health (MOH) accounts across the Central and Northern regions of Saudi Arabia. The KAM is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within MOH and NUPCO. The role requires gathering market intelligence, identifying tender opportunities, and creating customized solutions to meet client needs, driving profitable growth for the company.
Key Responsibilities
Account Relationship Management:
Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and KOLs within MOH and NUPCO.
Gain in-depth knowledge of the MOH account landscape, including existing contracts and upcoming tender opportunities.
Build a comprehensive network of contacts to drive customized, effective solutions tailored to client needs.
Market & Account Intelligence:
Gather and analyze intelligence on market trends and factors impacting customers in the healthcare and MOH sectors.
Maintain a deep understanding of account needs, competitive situations, and stakeholder dynamics.
Sales Funnel Management:
Maintain a healthy and updated sales funnel, ensuring transparency and progress on opportunities within MOH accounts.
Drive profitable growth by developing and delivering unique solutions that improve customer outcomes.
Manage key activities including account planning, the sales process, and post-sales implementation with minimal oversight.
Collaboration and Strategy Execution:
Collaborate closely with the WITS and Sales Management teams to promote Beckman Coulter’s competitive advantage in MOH accounts.
Establish relationships at the account level to secure competitive Total Lab Automation (TLA) accounts.
Promote direct engagement with the MOH segment, positioning Beckman Coulter as a preferred partner.
Contract Negotiation & Retention:
Lead negotiations for long-term contracts with MOH, ensuring the retention of profitable accounts through exceptional service delivery.
Manage a specific product line to support the overall company strategy within MOH accounts.
Competitor Analysis:
Stay well-informed about competitor product lines, pricing strategies, and positioning in the market.
Leverage competitive insights to maintain and grow market share within the MOH segment.
Knowledge, Competencies, and Experience
Education:
Proven experience in account management, preferably within the diagnostics, medical, or healthcare industry.
In-depth understanding of MOH/NUPCO procurement processes and tender management.
Strong ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and develop tailored solutions.
Fluent in English and Arabic, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proven track record of managing long-term contracts and driving profitable growth.
Strong business acumen with an ability to analyze market trends and competition.
