Key Account Manager (Riyadh/Dammam)

DHL Global Forwarding has an opening for Key Account Manager in Saudi Arabia. In this specific position you will develop local Key Accounts and achieve revenue and profit contribution objectives from an assigned list of Key Regular Accounts in a designated Province area within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In this Key Account Manager position - Sectors:Life Science and Healthcare, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Technology, Automotive



To achieve a sustainable and profitable growth for the company through managing an assigned number of Global and Multinational Customers , maintaining a long term relationship and maximizing sales opportunities and Gross Profit.


 Target, identify and close new business opportunities within the global customer segments.



Job Responsibilities:


  • Manages relationship of a defined number of Global & multinational customers and prospects in particular sectors (serves as primary contact for the customer; coordinates the account e.g. with related stakeholders)
  • Ensures that Key Account activities are aligned with global/regional sector strategy
  • Delivers the regional and/or country customer budget by maintaining a healthy pipeline, good contractual performance and proactive thinking
  • Works on regional customer initiatives and for implementing global business plan contents
  • Collects relevant customer information for the RFI/RFP/RFQ and prepares documents for customer implementation in order to ensure proper operational handover and implementation to meet customer expectations (Standart Operating Procedures etc )
  • Updates Regional Customer Managers and executive sponsors at regular intervals, ensuring they have an awareness of business critical issues
  • Executes global/regional sector strategy on country level
  • Manages relationship with key stakeholders in global as customer point of contact on country level

Knowledge Skills and Experience:


  • Good understanding of automotive, engineering and aviation sector in the global forwarding industry and knowledge on DGF product  and business models; experience with customers
  • Ability to identify customer needs by gathering information and building long-term relationships
  • Min 5 years global customer management experience & sales background is strongly required.
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills
  • University degree from related departments
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and teamwork oriented

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
  • More than 6 years within the same field
  • Excellent communicator in English, both written and verbal.
