Job Role:

As a junior accountant with Quant, your main responsibility will be to fuel the company’s financial success by providing relied-on meticulous quantitative entries of the transactions while ensuring that Quant complies with financial and tax law and regulations legally and in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all accounting transactions and ensure accuracy recordings.
  • Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
  • Work closely with external entities such as clients and vendors whether via phone, email, or in-person when it comes to inquiries or support to convey a positive and service-oriented attitude.
  • Work closely with concerned departments when it is related to providing support or inquiries.
  • Handle month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing processes including reconciliation of accounts, sales tax computations, and other accounting duties on time.
  • Preparing periodical and up-to-date financial reports and summaries such as monthly collection reports, cash flow statements, payroll reports, etc.
  • Ensuring all Accounts are performed and in compliance with the local and international standards and Quant’s financial policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure timely bank payments such as and not limited to installments, office rent, and payroll.
  • Compute VAT and prepare periodical VAT returns to submit it to Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority in a timely matter
  • Review Employees’ reimbursement claims, loans, petty cash & Credit cards and ensure their accuracy.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Assisting with annual audits, fact checks, resolving discrepancies, and drafting financial statements and related notes.
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
  • Conduct basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc.
  • Perform any other assigned tasks and duties related to the job when directed.

RequirementsEducation and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

  • Experience in overseeing the issuance of financial statements.
  • Experience with Zoho Books or similar bookkeeping systems.
  • Fluent proficiency in English and Arabic.
