Job Summary:

The IT Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the organizations IT infrastructure and ensuring the seamless operation of IT services. This role includes managing a team of IT professionals, optimizing IT processes, ensuring compliance and security, and fostering strong relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of IT systems, and a commitment to continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the maintenance, support, and optimization of all IT systems, including networks, servers, storage, and telecommunications.


  • Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure to support business operations.


  • Manage the implementation of new technologies to improve efficiency and productivity.


  • Lead IT service delivery, ensuring that all services meet or exceed agreed-upon service levels.


  • Develop and enforce IT operational policies, procedures, and best practices.


  • Oversee incident management and ensure timely resolution of IT issues to minimize downtime.


  • Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and support staff.


  • Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and facilitate professional development for the IT operations team.


  • Coordinate with HR for recruitment and onboarding of new IT staff.


  • Develop and manage the IT operations budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.


  • Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.


  • Oversee the procurement of IT hardware, software, and services, ensuring compliance with company policies.


  • Ensure IT operations comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.


  • Collaborate with the IT security team to implement and maintain security protocols, including data protection, access control, and disaster recovery plans.


  • Monitor compliance with security policies and respond to any security incidents.


  • Continuously assess and improve IT processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.


  • Implement automation and monitoring tools to streamline IT operations and reduce manual intervention.


  • Drive IT operations towards continuous improvement and operational excellence.


  • Prepare and present regular reports on IT operations, including performance metrics, incident reports, and project status updates.


  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing transparency on IT operations and challenges.


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related issues and inquiries within the organization.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.


  • Proven experience in IT operations management, with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and services.


  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.


  • Knowledge of ITIL, project management methodologies, and relevant compliance standards.
