About the Job:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT L1 Support & IT Management Specialist to join our IT team. This role involves providing first-level technical support to end-users, managing IT assets, overseeing purchasing processes, maintaining records, and ensuring timely renewals of IT services and contracts. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, experience in asset lifecycle management, and a solid understanding of procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
IT L1 Services:
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Respond to user queries via ticketing systems, email, or phone, ensuring timely resolution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve common IT issues related to workstations, printers, and peripherals.
- Assist in user account creation, password resets, and access management.
- Support basic troubleshooting of Active Directory, MS Office 365, and other enterprise applications.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.
- Maintain IT documentation, FAQs, and user guides.
IT Asset Management & Purchasing:
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets, including laptops, desktops, servers, and peripherals.
- Track asset allocation, movement, and lifecycle management.
- Assist in the procurement of IT hardware, software, and services by liaising with vendors.
- Review and compare quotes to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Ensure proper tagging and labeling of IT equipment.
- Maintain records of warranties, service contracts, and support agreements.
Skills
Database, Backup, Cloud, and Data Center Management:
- Manage and maintain databases, ensuring performance, security, and availability.
- Perform regular data backups and implement disaster recovery plans.
- Oversee data center operations, including servers, storage, and network infrastructure.
- Manage cloud services and ensure efficient operation of cloud-based solutions.
- Troubleshoot database issues and optimize performance.
- Ensure high availability of critical systems and services.
Cybersecurity and Cloud Services Management:
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect systems and data.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis.
- Manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security protocols.
- Oversee cloud service operations, ensuring security, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce security policies and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in IT support and asset management.
- Strong knowledge of database management, backup solutions, and data center operations.
- Experience with cybersecurity protocols, tools, and best practices.
- Knowledge of cloud service platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Proficiency with Windows, Mac, and basic networking troubleshooting.
- Experience with IT asset lifecycle and procurement processes.
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and asset management tools.
- Good understanding of IT service contracts, licensing, and renewals.
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
