Role Purpose
As an Investigations Senior Specialist you will support in managing stakeholders, deliver on SpeakUp Investigation strategy, support the Investigations Manager and team ensuring adequate coverage on investigations at all times, be an ambassador of NEOM Internal Audit (NIA), and to promote corporate governance, support and develop NIA Junior team members and manage co-source requirements/resources.
BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
2 to 5 years of recent and relevant investigation experience (with references)
Required experience:
Advanced understanding of risk management concepts and techniques
Ability to lead investigations and assessments of business processes
Strong project management skills
Ability to support colleagues in their development
Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
Qualifications:
Graduate Degree or Master’s Degree in a relevant subject
Professional qualification in ACFE or similar (preferrable)
Additional Project Management, PRINCE2, or equivalent certifications (preferrable)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Key Investigations Responsibilities
To independently oversee the activities of SpeakUp Investigations cases.
To work with the SpeakUp Investigation team to support whistleblowers and to provide services to those who raise concerns.
To support the development of end-to-end systems that includes:
empowering workers to speak out about wrongdoing;
protecting whistleblowers who contribute to published reports of wrongdoing;
supporting collaborative investigative reporting on wrongdoing; and,
advocating for lasting change on key themes arising from SpeakUp Investigations and the learning derived.
To support the short-term and long-term strategy and policies, develop a robust process for supporting whistleblowers in collaboration with the SpeakUp Investigations management and the team.
To liaise, in coordination with the Investigations Manager, with stakeholders to advocate for lasting change.
To serve as a primary point of initial contact on any matter directed to SpeakUp Investigations.
Independently researches and prioritizes incoming issues and determines appropriate course of action, referral, and/or responses under the guidance of the Investigations Manager(s).
Working within legal guidelines when gathering information about individuals or investigating misconduct.
Interviewing individuals to gather supporting information on cases under investigation.
Manages special programs and campaigns for SpeakUp Investigations, including supporting the planning and coordination of these for the SpeakUp program.
Helps in the understanding and interpretation of NEOM policies and procedures, as appropriate, and ensures that SpeakUp Investigations process and office operations are in compliance with policy provisions and standards.
