Job Summary
The Inventory and Cost Control Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing inventory levels, controlling costs, and ensuring efficient operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the heavy transportation industry and a proven track record in inventory management and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet operational demands while minimizing carrying costs.
- Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies and practices.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Analyze cost variances and implement cost-saving measures to improve overall profitability.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials.
- Generate and present detailed inventory and cost reports to senior management.
- Identify and address any discrepancies or issues related to inventory and cost control.
- Utilize industry-specific software and tools for inventory and cost management.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory and cost control, preferably in the heavy transportation industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
