Inventory and Cost Control

The Inventory and Cost Control Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing inventory levels, controlling costs, and ensuring efficient operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the heavy transportation industry and a proven track record in inventory management and cost control.
 

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet operational demands while minimizing carrying costs.
• Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies and practices.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze cost variances and implement cost-saving measures to improve overall profitability.
• Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials.
• Generate and present detailed inventory and cost reports to senior management.
• Identify and address any discrepancies or issues related to inventory and cost control.
• Utilize industry-specific software and tools for inventory and cost management.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve processes.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory and cost control, preferably in the heavy transportation industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
