Job Description
Responsible for managing and overseeing the policy administration process and data management, ensuring that policies are issued and stored accurately and in a timely manner and that inquiries and requests are handled effectively. Facilitating the payments related to issued policies by handling the first level of approval in SAP and liaising with the vendor.
Responsibilities
- Issue new policies, verify information and generate policy documents
- Manage the administration of existing policies, ensuring that accurate and up-to-date policy documentation is maintained, including policy terms and conditions, endorsements, and other policy-related documents
- Verify payment information, record payments, and reconcile payment records, managing delinquent premium payments by sending payment reminders, following up with customers, and taking appropriate action to collect overdue payments (working closely with Finance colleagues)
- Process insurance claims, including verifying coverage, investigating claims, and determining claim settlements
- Handle departmental inquiries and requests related to policies, premiums, and claims, ensuring that they are handled effectively and in a timely manner.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Basic understanding of insurance products, including policy terms and conditions, coverage options, and regulatory requirements
- Candidates should have excellent communication skills; confident in effectively liaising with contractors, colleagues, and other third parties
- Proficient in using computer software and systems related to policy administration, premium billing (SAP), and claims processing.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
- Strong working knowledge of Excel- (Vlookup, Data reporting using Pivots, data management etc)
