Job Description

On behalf of our client, we are looking for Industrial Development Department Director to join their company.

Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing efforts to attract new tenants to industrial cities, approving allocation requests, developing demand forecasts, contributing to industrial growth plans, collaborating with stakeholders, creating partnerships, and leading initiatives to enhance the industrial sector. The role involves formulating and implementing strategies, mentoring teams, evaluating performance, measuring impact, and driving product lifecycle.
Responsibilities 
  • Supervising efforts to attract new tenants to the industrial cities.
  • Preliminary approving of allocation requests which includes measuring the expected added value.
  • Overseeing the development of short and medium-term demand forecasts and realization of market, feasibility and economic analyses; assessing the impact of industrial projects and partnerships.
  • Contribution to formulation and implementation of organization plans to promote industrial growth, including identifying potential areas for development.
  • Working with government and private sector, as well as other stakeholders to facilitate industrial projects and ensure they align with organization and national strategic development goals.
  • Working with a team to develop policies that govern all interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creating new partnerships with International and local stakeholders to provide high value added services.
  • Continuously collaborating with other Business Units to ensure an optimal level of development and maintenance of industrial assets, availability of the necessary infrastructure and services, and implementation of sustainable industrial practices.
  • Leading efforts in initiating multiple initiatives and value-added products to enable the industrial sector in the industrial cities.
  • Advocating for clients’ needs in the development and deployment of projects, initiatives, products, and strategies.
  • Designing and implementing incentive programs to attract new and priority industries and support the expansion of existing ones.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, regulatory and strategic framework.
  • Lead and mentor a team of industrial development professionals allocated on two subsections: one focusing on industrial partnership, and the other on products development and studies.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Evaluate the performance of the team members and put in place improvement plans.
  • Measuring and tracking the impact of initiatives on the department's key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop a vision and set the strategic direction of the product which aligns with clients’ needs, business growth, and overall organization strategy.
  • Own and drive products lifecycle from design, launch and developing cross functional partnerships.

Experience & qualifications required:


  • Minimum 12 years’ experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Industrial Engineering or a related field (Master Degree is preferred)
  • Professional Certificate in Project Management preferred
  • Fluent in Arabic and English
  • Strong business communication skills in both languages
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven record of superior people management and leadership skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of economic legislation and business practices.
  • Preference and proven record in making data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent understanding of the Industrial Strategies, trends and policies in Saudi Arabia.
  • Excellency in project management tools (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent understanding of factory management and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent business analysis skills.
