Job Description

Manage the project's health and safety matters related to construction activities and contractual responsibilities.
Conduct regular internal audits across all sites and divisions, as well as external audits on suppliers and subcontractors.
Ensure all site activities are carried out in the safest possible manner.
Identify and report environmental and health and safety issues to the project management team.
Review and develop method statements, risk assessments, and Environmental Health & Safety Plans.
Develop, maintain, and implement IMS procedures and ensure compliance with ISO accreditations.
Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.
Prepare and develop the projects' Health and Safety plan.
Prepare and review fire evacuation plans.
Develop site-specific method statements in liaison with site engineers.
Coordinate with main contractors' safety representatives.
Attend site meetings and report back to senior management.
Attend daily toolbox talks conducted by the main contractor.
Inspect sites daily to ensure a safe environment and compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
8–10 years of experience in commercial and mixed-use projects.
Strong understanding of national and international safety standards and legislation.
Familiarity with hygiene, occupational, and general safety programs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Certification in Occupational Health and Safety Management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Computer literate.
Fluent in English. Arabic is a plus.
