Job Description

As an HSSE Analyst, you will support our Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) functions by providing data-driven insights and operational guidance. You will work across multiple teams, ensuring that HSSE practices are aligned with regulatory standards and best practices. Your role will be pivotal in advancing our safety culture and minimizing risks across our operations.


Essential Functions:


  • Collect, analyze, and report on HSSE data, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions to enhance safety and environmental performance
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with local, national, and international HSSE regulations and company policies
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits, recommending improvements to mitigate hazards and reduce incidents
  • Participate in incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Assist in the development and delivery of HSSE training programs for on-site personnel, promoting a safety-first culture
  • Prepare and present regular HSSE reports to management, highlighting key metrics, incidents, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support the development and testing of emergency response plans to ensure preparedness for potential incidents
  • Work closely with drilling rig supervisors and field teams to ensure alignment of safety practices and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Necessary qualifications, skills and abilities:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field. Years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 4+ years of experience in an HSSE role, preferably in the drilling or oil & gas industry
  • Understanding and Implementation Strategies of IOGP International HSSE Standards and Life Saving Rules
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights
  • Knowledge of HSSE regulations and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ISO)
  • Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, BCSP: (CSP, SMS, OHST, CHST)
