Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive House Manager to oversee the smooth running of our household. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing household staff, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring the property is maintained to the highest standards. This role requires someone with excellent communication skills, discretion, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management: Supervise and manage household staff, including cleaners, gardeners, chefs, and other service providers. Ensure schedules are coordinated and tasks are completed to satisfaction.
  • Property Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of the property, including organizing routine inspections, coordinating with contractors, and managing household inventories.
  • Event Planning: Assist with the planning and execution of private events, including coordinating catering, guest lists, and decor.
  •  Household Budgets: Manage household budgets and expenses, keeping records of all purchases, maintenance, and other financial activities.
  • Procurement: Ensure that household supplies, groceries, and other necessities are stocked at all times, and liaise with vendors to negotiate contracts and manage orders.
  • Security: Ensure the safety and security of the property by managing security systems, overseeing access control, and coordinating with security staff if necessary.
  • Travel Coordination: Assist with travel arrangements for family members, including booking flights, accommodations, and transportation.
  • Pet Care: Oversee the care and well-being of household pets, including scheduling vet appointments and managing pet supplies.
  • Personal Assistance: Provide personal assistance to the homeowner(s), which may include scheduling appointments, running errands, and coordinating daily routines.


Qualifications:

  •  Proven experience as a House Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information.
  • Knowledge of household systems, property management, and staff coordination.
  • Ability to manage budgets and handle financial tasks.
  • Flexibility to accommodate the needs and schedules of the household.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel if necessary.
