Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled HIS Application Support Engineer to provide technical support, system administration, and user training for Healthcare Information Systems (HIS). This role is responsible for HIS updates, troubleshooting, SQL development, and integration with NPHIES and other healthcare IT systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HIS application support, database management, system testing, and user training within a hospital or healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
HIS System Support & Administration
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for HIS applications and related systems.
- Perform HIS updates testing and quality assurance before deployment.
- Assist in system implementation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Support NPHIES integration and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Analyze and improve HIS workflows in collaboration with different departments.
- Document system issues, fixes, and best practices for internal reference.
User Training & Technical Assistance
- Conduct training sessions for hospital staff, including doctors, nurses, and administrative personnel.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for end users.
- Develop training materials and documentation to support system adoption.
Database & SQL Development
- Write and deploy SQL patches to fix system issues.
- Assist in schema design, SQL query tuning, and database optimization.
- Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions.
- Support data migration processes for system upgrades and new implementations.
System Monitoring & Maintenance
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Manage IT help desk support for HIS-related technical concerns.
- Ensure hardware and network stability for smooth HIS operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement new features and updates.
Compliance & Security
- Ensure HIS system security and compliance with healthcare IT regulations.
- Support ZATCA integration for financial compliance within the HIS system.
- Apply process management best practices in system administration.
Required Skills & Expertise
- HIS System Administration & Support: Experience managing hospital information systems.
- SQL Development: Strong proficiency in SQL query tuning, stored procedures, and database optimization.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to analyze and resolve complex system issues.
- User Training & Support: Experience in conducting HIS training sessions and user support.
- Healthcare IT Compliance: Understanding of NPHIES, ZATCA, and healthcare regulatory standards.
- System Implementation & Testing: Experience in software deployment, updates, and quality assurance.
- IT Infrastructure Support: Knowledge of networking, system setup, and hardware troubleshooting.
Educational & Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications in SQL Development, Oracle PL/SQL, or HIS-related systems are a plus.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
