We are currently looking to hire a Safety Manager to join the team and play a critical role in supporting the WHS function for our logistic sites. The successful candidate will be an experienced, innovative, hands-on and customer obsessed individual, passionate about Safety and able to drive strategy to build an engaging safe environment, identify, coordinate and drive improvements in Safety whilst engaging Operational and other Support Function stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
· Contributing to the WHS Team to ensure delivery of Safety performance in line with personal, team and functional goals and objectives, facilitating and/or arranging training programs on critical WHS issues
· Supporting the implementation of WHS programs within Operations
· Supporting sites with key risk assessment activities
· Supporting the business to ensure compliance to local and KSA legislation
· Ensuring that WHS systems are kept accurate at all times with completed incident reports and all required supporting documentation, with metrics compiled on key data points to help the Country WHS Manager prepare/issue regular and ad hoc reports and metric documents
· Building strategies to create a safety culture and drive injuries to zero with the creation of incident prevention programs, contributing to site requests to improve on site Safety and positively impact accident trends
· Participating in the AMET WHS Safety Audit program
· Coordinating and training of new Safety Officers
· Arranging, facilitating and contributing to Safety Steering Committee meetings
· Arranging and conducting basic surveys and checks in the Amazon Logistics environment and processes, Safety supplies and on employee behaviours
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, or equivalent
- Experience in Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS with mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people
- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment
- Minimum Qualifications must include NEBOSH IGC and working towards degree or diploma in Safety
