We are seeking an HSE professional to join Strategic Technology Analysis Division, which is one of EXPEC Advanced Research Center Departments. The professional will be responsible for developing, recommending, and implementing programs and procedures associated with the recognition, measurement, evaluation, and control of potential health and safety hazards associated with high pressure and high temperature hydrocarbon operations.
EXPEC Advanced Research Center (EXPEC ARC) is the upstream oil and gas research and development arm of Saudi Aramco.
• Perform safety analysis of complex data to identify trends and recommend hazard reduction requirements and actions.
• Work independently to develop, maintain and implement HSE programs in the field.
• Provide mentoring to junior staff in support of the HSE qualification program.
• Write expert-level and complex technical reports based on the interpretation of complex data, observations and current regulations
• Ability to develop operational performance metrics and meeting performance requirements.
• Develop, implement and manage the department Health, Safety and Environmental Management System (HSEMS).
• Provide technical and organizational support to develop and produce high quality analytical performance reporting mechanisms to support technical teams with continuous improvement efforts.
• Hold a Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, science or engineering. Advanced degree Is a plus.
• A minimum of 12 years of related experience.
• Qualified as a Lead Investigator in root cause analysis methods, such as TapRoot® or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge, and demonstrated application of regulatory requirements related to industrial hygiene and safety in a research environment.
• Advanced knowledge and application of techniques and procedures for industrial hygiene exposure assessment (both qualitative and quantitative), to include sampling and sampling techniques/instrumentation, and selection/implementation of controls.
• Advanced skill in the preparation and communication of industrial hygiene/safety technical information to technical and non-technical personnel.
• Advanced knowledge and ability to apply the hierarchy of controls to eliminate or mitigate hazards while ensuring mission success.
• Ability to represent the organization and laboratory on various internal or external boards and committees.
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Is preferred.
