Role:
Develops and implements hazard control designs, methods, procedures and safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions for protection of people, property and environment utilizing knowledge in industrial processes, mechanics, chemistry, psychology, industrial health and safety laws
Accountabilities:
1. Examines plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment to determine all safety pre-cautions O that's required as per company policy.
2. Monitors plant and employee accommodation facilities to inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
3. Conducts/coordinates safety and first aid training to educate workers about safety policies, laws and practices.
4. Implements, administers and advise others on hazard control programs and determines requirement for safety dothing and devices, builds and installs or directs installation of safety devices on machinery.
5. Investigates industrial accidents to minimize recurrence ad prepares accident reports.
6. Forecasts future safety plans and statement based on real-time experiences and facts to ensure minimize incidents.
7. Conducts air quality tests for presence of harmful gases and vapors as per law.
