Job Description

ProConnect Logistics, a Redington company, With a global reach, presence in 3 prominent countries, vast warehousing space of over 300,000 square feet and various industry associations, we are popularly known for Freight Forwarding and warehousing services.


We currently have an opportunity with us for the role of Head of Operations – Commercial - Freight Forwarding, to be based in Riyadh


Your responsibilities will include but not limited to


  • Responsible for revenue and GP
  • Retention of customers
  • Ensure excellence in operation
  • Introduction of new technology
  • Productivity improvement.
  • New product development
  • Set up new entity
  • Relationship with overseas agent/local airlines/shipping lines
  • Rate negotiation
  • Agency business
  • Leading and developing freight operations team
  • Team support and organization – direct involvement in process of quotations/tenders/operations
  • End to end responsibility for all freight transactions
  • Managing relationships with customers – a personal relationship with current exporters/importers, research for new opportunities, securing and growing new business locally
  • Managing Air Freight, Sea Freight and Land Freight operations
  • Responsible for Key Accounts Customer Service
  • Retention of Customers
  • Process Improvements

Qualifications

Hard Skills


  • Proven experience in a leadership role within support team or similar operational department, with strong track record of scaling operational teams.
  • Excellent decision making, strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing a remote offshore team.
  • Previous experience coaching and mentoring other team members to improve their hard and soft skills.
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Strong ability to design and deploy processes.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate performance metrics and make data-driven decisions. Excellent level of excel.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English

Soft Skills


  • Very good communication skills, in both Arabic & English
  • Curious and open to new product and ideas
  • Flexible, quick to adapt to emergencies or new strategies
  • Capacity to work and deliver in a fast-paced environment
