About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Finance to lead the financial operations for our MENA Regional Headquarters. As a key member of the MENA Leadership Team, you will play an instrumental role in establishing and driving finance activities and compliance across our regional businesses. This position is critical in supporting the organization's growth and adapting financial processes to align with the Saudi regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Oversee financial analysis across regional business units, focusing on revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow.
- Prepare and review financial statements, variance analyses, and performance dashboards on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with group standards, including the preparation of statutory accounts.
2. Operational Performance Evaluation
- Collaborate with various teams to gather operational data, analyze metrics, and identify key performance indicators.
- Recommend operational improvements, cost reductions, and process optimizations to increase profitability and efficiency.
- Manage working capital, sales metrics, and key cost drivers to improve overall performance.
3. Financial Planning
- Develop regional budgets and forecasts in coordination with local and group finance teams.
- Track actual performance against budget targets and provide insights and recommendations.
- Ensure thorough analysis of budget variances, identifying corrective actions where necessary.
4. Strategic Decision Support
- Provide financial insights and scenario analyses to support strategic decisions.
- Conduct feasibility studies and financial modeling to assess the impact of various business scenarios and potential investments.
- Collaborate on long-term financial planning and strategy development for the region.
Skills You Need to Possess:
- Proven experience in leading financial operations, ideally within a multinational environment and regulatory context.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting with a focus on compliance.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to lead and manage a team through a period of growth and new business setup.
- Previous exposure to setting up financial processes in alignment with Saudi regulatory requirements is essential.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience within a commercial and manufacturing business.
- Qualified / Chartered Accountant (ACCA / CIMA or Equivalent) from reputable body
- Previous accounting experience within an SME – manufacturing and commercial operations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Able to produce management reports with the ability to present the results in meetings.
- Strong experience in the production of monthly management accounts to Senior Management teams.
- IT literate proficient in MS Office software (incl. strong Excel skills) and Finance packages
- Extensive experience in analysing data for decision making purposes & able to communicate findings to all levels.
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Ability to document business procedures.
