About the job Head Chef-Sushi
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef for a Sushi Restaurant in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to lead our client's kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, particularly in sushi preparation, and will possess strong leadership skills to maintain high standards of food quality and kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of high-quality sushi and other dishes, maintaining consistency and creativity
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen, following health and safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff to improve skills and performance
- Collaborate with management to create and update the menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared and served on time, maintaining high standards of taste and presentation
- Manage kitchen operations during busy service times, ensuring a smooth workflow and excellent customer satisfaction
- Handle staff schedules, performance reviews, and team dynamics
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional culinary experience specializing in sushi preparation
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a kitchen environment
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
