Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supervisor - Tour Guide to oversee and manage our team of tour guides. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tourism, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for sharing Saudi Arabia's heritage with visitors. The Supervisor - Tour Guide will ensure the delivery of high-quality tours, support team members, and maintain operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
•Supervise and manage a team of tour guides, ensuring they provide accurate, engaging, and informative tours.
•Develop and implement training programs for new and existing tour guides to enhance their knowledge and skills.
•Schedule and coordinate tour guide assignments to ensure coverage and efficiency.
•Monitor and evaluate tour guide performance, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews.
•Ensure all tours are conducted in accordance with company standards and safety guidelines.
•Handle escalated issues or complaints from tour participants, providing effective resolutions.
•Collaborate with the management team to develop new tour offerings and improve existing ones.
•Stay informed about new attractions, events, and industry trends to keep tour content relevant and exciting.
•Assist in developing marketing strategies and promotional materials for tours.
•Maintain records and prepare reports on tour operations, including attendance, feedback, and incidents.
•Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging team cohesion and motivation.
RequirementsQualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in tourism, hospitality, management, or a related field.
•Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the tourism industry, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
•Extensive knowledge of Saudi Arabian history, culture, and geography.
•Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
•Fluency in English and Arabic; additional languages are a plus.
•Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
•Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
•Proven leadership and team management skills.
•Customer-focused attitude with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
•Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if applicable).
•Tour guide licenses (Preferred)
