Job Description: Group Internal Audit Head
Location: Jeddah, KSA
Industry: Conglomerate (Real Estate, Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, Law Firm, Telecom)
Role Summary:
The Group Internal Audit Head is responsible for leading and managing the internal audit function across multiple business units within the conglomerate. This role ensures the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in internal auditing across diverse industries, providing strategic insights and recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Internal Audit Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive internal audit strategy aligned with the organization’s business objectives.
- Establish audit policies, procedures, and best practices for all business units.
- Develop and execute a risk-based internal audit plan covering real estate, manufacturing, F&B, law, and telecom sectors.
2. Risk Management & Compliance:
- Identify, assess, and monitor key risks across the group companies.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory standards (IFRS, SOX, corporate governance, and industry-specific regulations).
- Advise senior management on risk mitigation strategies and internal control improvements.
3. Audit Execution & Reporting:
- Lead operational, financial, and compliance audits across all business sectors.
- Perform forensic investigations and fraud detection as needed.
- Present audit findings and recommendations to senior management and the audit committee.
- Follow up on corrective actions and monitor their implementation.
4. Internal Control & Process Improvement:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend process enhancements.
- Work closely with department heads to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Implement technology-driven audit tools and data analytics for better insights.
5. Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop an internal audit team with industry-specific expertise.
- Promote a culture of ethics, accountability, and transparency across the organization.
- Provide training and awareness sessions on internal controls, compliance, and fraud prevention.
Skills
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, CA, CMA, ACCA (preferred).
- Minimum 12-15 years of internal audit experience, preferably in a diversified conglomerate.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, risk management frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in auditing real estate, manufacturing, F&B, telecom, and legal services.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, data analytics, and audit software.
