Role Summary
The Government Relations Specialist is pivotal in managing and enhancing our relationships with governmental bodies, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and advocating for the interests of our organization. Has a deep understanding of the KSA governmental entities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Identify key stakeholders within governmental bodies and establish strong working relationships. Monitor and analyze changes in local laws, regulations, and policies that may impact the business. Ensure compliance with KSA regulations and facilitate necessary permits, licenses, and approvals. Represent the company in meetings with government officials, industry associations, and relevant stakeholders when instructed by the LM. Conduct research on government policies that could affect the industry. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management on relevant government initiatives. Serve as the primary point of contact for all government-related inquiries. Develop and maintain effective communication channels with government agencies. Attend industry conferences, workshops, and networking events as instructed by the LM to build relationships and stay informed on government initiatives. Foster partnerships with local organizations, and other stakeholders to support mutual interests. Assist in managing any government-related issues or crises that arise and can impact the company and employees, providing strategic advice to senior leadership. Issuing residencies permits for expat employees coming to work in the Saudi Arabia Renewal of residency permits for current foreign employees working in Saudi Arabia Issuance of exit/re-entry visas for foreign employees working in Saudi Arabia Business Visit Visa processing Issuing final exit visas for employees leaving the company and the Kingdom
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. Less than 2 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or a related field, preferably within an international company in KSA. Proven track record of successfully engaging with government officials and navigating the regulatory landscape. Strong understanding of KSA’s political and labor regulatory environment. Strong understanding of KSA Visa Types and their processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English. Ability to analyze complex information and present it clearly. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using Government tools and platforms. Proactive, results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Information:
This position may require occasional travel within KSA.
