About the job Government Relations Specialist
General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Delivers responsive and innovative solutions which respond to governance current and future requirements (most importantly Saudization).
- Provides high-quality, professional support to the operational team and management that assists in archiving the department & company's objectives.
- Proactively meets Government entities to deliver effective services or by providing alternative-focused solutions for any government-related matters.
- Implements governance frameworks and systems, identifies any risks/issues facing implementation and recommends solutions accordingly.
- Ensures that a governance framework is in place to help the company operate its business with defined roles and responsibilities on all levels in the organization, starting from the Shareholders through the Board and its Committees and ending with the company itself.
- Identifies the company's policies and establishes and updates them as needed.
- Evaluates the governance systems and tools periodically to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintains all corporate governance manual charters and policies and ensures compliance with them.
- Ensures the administration of effective internal controls and regulatory compliance systems, ensuring that entities, projects and initiatives are compliant and remain in good legal standing.
- Supports the line manager in researching leading practices and principles relating to corporate governance and champions their adoption across corporate governance deliverables for assigned entities, projects and initiatives.

- Ensuring that the Saudisation is always in Premium in the Portals and ensuring necessary steps are implemented to achieve this
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant Social Sciences field, with a preference for Business Administration, Corporate Governance, Law or equivalent.
- 3-4 years of experience in a relevant field (consulting background is preferred).
- Very good bilingual English and Arabic Language writing, reading & speaking skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with team members. Strong leadership skills and communications skills.
- Strong knowledge of both Governance & Compliance processes and standards, including best-practised & international standards.
