Responsibilities
His responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Develops and implements geospatial policies, procedures, and standards to support organizational objectives
•Manages geospatial information programs and initiatives, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
•Collaborates with other managers to identify, prioritize, and meet geospatial needs and requirements
•Oversees the acquisition, management, and dissemination of geospatial data and intelligence products
•Maintains a comprehensive understanding of geospatial trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
•Ensures that geospatial strategies and programs are aligned with the overall organizational objectives and mission
•Develops and monitors the geospatial budget, and ensures that all financial and regulatory requirements are met.
Job Requirements:
The post holder will have the following background:
•Master degree in Geospatiaf Information, or related field
•Program Management Professional (PMP) certifiedor equivalent
Skills
• Strong leadership, project management, and budget planning skills
• Excellent knowledge of geospatial principles, tools, and technologies
• Knowledge with geospatial data standards and policies i.e. NSG, ISO,
• IHO, DGWtG, NATO (STANAG), OGC, W3C, SoO
•Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
•Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and customers
Experience required:
•15+ years of experience in geospatial management or program management roles.
