Responsibilities
His responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Develops and maintains geospatial data standards
• Provides guidance on metadata creation and management, data quality control, and data normalization
• Ensures adherence to geospatial standards and protocols
• Analyzes geospatial data to support military operations and decision-making
• Provides technical support on geospatial data management and visualization
• Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of geospatial data standards, policies, and regulations
Job Requirements:
The post holder will have the following background:
· Master degree in Geospatial Information, or a related field
· ISO geospatial data standards certification including ISO 19100 and ISO 9001, is essential
· Geospatial Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) certification from American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) or related organization.
Skills:
· Strong technical skills in metadata creation, management, and normalization
· Experience with GIS software and tools
· Excellent knowledge with geospatial data standards and policies i.e. NSG, ISO, IRO, DGWIG, NATO (STANAG), OGC, W3C, SDO
· Strong analytical skills to interpret geospatial data and information
· Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
· Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and customers
Experience required:
· 15+ years of experience in geospatiat data management or data quality control roles
