Job Description
The Generator Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of generators used on job sites. This position involves the maintenance, repair, and installation of various types of generators, ensuring that they operate efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical systems and mechanical components, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. Responsibilities:Conduct regular maintenance checks on generators to ensure they are functioning correctly.Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in generators.Install new generators and related equipment according to specifications.Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all maintenance and repair activities.Assist in the procurement of parts and supplies necessary for generator maintenance.Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in generator maintenance and repair.Preferred Candidate:Strong technical knowledge of generator systems and components.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.Experience with various types of generators, including diesel and gas-powered.Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
