Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic individual to fulfill the role of General Manager of Administration of Technical Affairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive management of technical affairs across multiple departments within governmental/semi-governmental entities. The role requires a strong background in engineering or science, with a focus on international programs and a broad spectrum of managerial responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct supervision and oversight of technical affairs across various departments, including but not limited to engineering, project control, contracts, procurement, health & safety, security, environment, risk management, financial management, quality assurance, quality control, and construction.
- Utilize a wealth of experience to effectively manage major international programs, ensuring the successful delivery of projects within specified timelines and budgetary requirements.
- Actively engage in talent development and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the capabilities and performance of the technical teams.
- Demonstrate exceptional proficiency in management, supervision, and people management, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Engage in extensive global work, with a preference for firsthand experience in Saudi Arabia, to bring a nuanced understanding of international practices and regulations to the role.
- Communicate effectively at all levels, utilizing outstanding verbal and written communication abilities to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science from a Ministry-accredited university.
- Minimum of 20 years’ experience in major international programs for governmental/semi-governmental entities, with a proven track record in managing technical affairs across diverse departments.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with direct supervisory experience in a variety of technical disciplines, including engineering, project control, procurement, and quality management.
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement and talent development initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical information.
- Extensive global work experience, with a preference for prior involvement in projects within Saudi Arabia.
