Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager to lead a premier luxury five-star hotel in the heart of Makkah. The successful candidate will oversee all hotel operations, ensuring exceptional service, operational excellence, and strong financial performance. A deep understanding of the Hajj and Umrah market is essential for this role, as the hotel serves guests undertaking spiritual journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance guest experience, operational efficiency, and revenue growth.
- Hajj and Umrah Expertise: Cater to the specific needs of pilgrims, designing services and experiences that align with the expectations of Hajj and Umrah travelers.
- Operational Oversight: Manage all aspects of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, F&B, sales, and marketing.
- Guest Experience: Ensure the delivery of personalized and culturally sensitive guest experiences to meet the standards of a luxury brand.
- Team Development: Inspire, mentor, and develop a diverse team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring staff retention.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, religious organizations, and other stakeholders in the Hajj and Umrah sector.
- Financial Management: Oversee budgets, optimize cost control, and ensure profitability while maintaining service excellence.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of the Hajj and Umrah market, with an understanding of religious tourism dynamics.
- Exceptional guest service orientation, with the ability to cater to culturally diverse clientele.
- Fluency in English is essential; Arabic proficiency is a significant advantage.
- Strong business acumen with experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and the local community.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in luxury hospitality, with at least 5 years as a General Manager or in a similar senior role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale properties, preferably in the Middle East.
- Experience working with international luxury brands.
- Familiarity with cultural and operational nuances of religious tourism markets, especially Makkah or other pilgrimage destinations.
