General Maintenance Manager

SAFETY

·                  Promote “Safety” awareness and compliance to rules and regulations by mechanical and utilities engineering personnel to provide a conducive environment at the workplace.

·                  Ensure factory Safety and Security programs are implemented.

·                  Manage the successful annual inspection by the statutory body for boiler and pressurized vessels.

·                  Coordinate with HSE team to take proper actions to close all raised safety near misses.

QUALITY

·                  Ensure all Quality and Food Safety standards are implemented and followed by Mechanical and Utilities team.

·                  Ensure all plant machinery are maintained in optimum conditions and meeting the quality standards.

·                  Ensure that weighing scales and measuring instruments such as temperature gauges, pressure gauges, RH gauges, flow meters and precision instruments are always calibrated and in good operating conditions.

·                  Ensure that Manufacturing facility is complied with all statutory Quality and food safety audit regulations (FDA as example)

COST

·                  Draw up and review Energy Standards, ensuring proper usage and investigating monthly variances.

·                  Optimize the stock levels as well as re-order quantities of spare parts to avoid production line(s) shutdown while minimizing holding costs.

·                  Prepare, verify, and validate mechanical and utilities maintenance budgets, capital expenditures, manpower line up, energy budgets, to make sure their conformity and compliance with quality assurance standards, sales forecast. Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of engineering activities.

·                  Initiate and participate in cost saving programs through optimizing and increasing the efficiency of equipment.

 DELEVERY

·                  To oversee the implementation of Engineering Work Flow System, where work orders are channeled for proper processing and work activities are planned, coordinated, supervised, and checked.

·                  Ensure that all engineering activities are completed according to the required quality and quantity safely on time, at reasonable cost, and within the approved budget.

·                  Coordinate with mechanical and utilities team to ensure that Preventive / Predictive Maintenance is integrated into the maintenance program to achieve maintenance cost and downtime reduction.

·                  Ensure all plant machinery is maintained in optimum conditions. Further, they operate efficiently and safely, and in compliance with statutory requirements.

·                  To manage an efficient Tool Control program for optimum tool condition and availability.

·                  To ensure effective execution of maintenance works that will cover corrective and preventive maintenance.

·                  To be responsible for channeling departmental decisions to Mechanical Engineer, Utilities Engineer and Planning Engineer and  shall ensure that the instructions are properly conveyed to general maintenance personnel and shall report  back to engineering manager feedback for information and/or actions.

·                  Ensure that workshop capabilities in terms of equipment and resources are sufficient for required service delivery.

·                  Oversee performance and delivery of third party service providers and subcontractors required for on-site maintenance.

·                  Monitor equipment performance and develops corrective action plans to reverse any deviation against agreed standards.

·                  Ensure the continuous induction of Moral and Motivation initiatives to ensure high productive and motivated teams.

 ENVIRONMENT

·                  Establish and monitor the implementation of metal scrap management systems.

·                  Ensure efficient utilization of Energy resources and establish the control systems to monitor and reduce Energy consumption.

·                  Establish and implement the procedures to reduce the emission of gases (CO, CO2, H2S, …..).
