Description
Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and implement long-term financial strategies, set financial goals, and provide insights to support executive decision-making.
Financial Modelling: Lead the creation of comprehensive financial models, analyse historical and macroeconomic data, perform scenario and sensitivity analysis, and present insights to stakeholders.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the annual budgeting process, manage detailed financial forecasts, and continuously update projections based on performance and business conditions.
Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, while preparing reports for executive and board-level review.
Business Partnering: Serve as a strategic partner to other departments, offering financial insights and supporting decision-making across the organisation.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the FP&A team, encouraging skill development, collaboration, and high performance.
Process Improvement and Technology: Identify opportunities to enhance FP&A processes and implement best practices and technology solutions for better accuracy and efficiency.
Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, assess financial risks, and develop strategies for mitigation.
Profile
The successful candidate will be an experienced finance professional with strong expertise in financial planning, modelling, and project finance, ideally within sectors like water treatment or construction. With advanced analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and SAP, and a relevant qualification (e.g., CFA, MBA), they will confidently partner with senior leaders and guide the FP&A team to drive strategic financial goals.
