Job Summary:
The Foreman is responsible for the timely, efficient, quality and safe execution of installation and maintenance projects and tasks. This position is also responsible for the updating the Installations Head of Department on projects/tasks status, deviation from project plan and any other challenges faced.
- Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Supervise, prioritize and assign tasks for Installations & Maintenance Technicians
- Ensure that Installations & Maintenance Technicians are properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively and safely carry out their job functions
- Report to the Installations & Maintenance engineer & Sr. Supervisor on the performance of the Installations & Maintenance Technicians team against preset goals
- Report to the Installations & Maintenance engineer & Sr. Supervisor on projects/tasks status, deviation from project plan and any other challenges faced
- Execute the inspections and maintenance work for completed gas networks
- Ensure the installations of gas network are done in accordance with the clients’ offer, technical proposal and company’s standards and regulations
- Supervise the installation of gas pipes, regulators and tanks as per technical proposal
- Calculate pipe sizing, verify tank size and needed material for each job
- Supervise the use company tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Execute gas network safety and quality inspections
- Resolve issues and problems with clients
- Work with other team members side by side as a good team member
- Requirements and Qualifications:
• A Technical degree from an accredited institute with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in similar operation
• Good oral and written communication skills in Arabic and English
• should have experience in installation of copper networks, welding and binding copper pipes as well
as installation procedures, fittings, regulators, tools, and gas accessories
• Good knowledge of gas networks, composition, pressure and types
• Good knowledge of electrical circuits
• Safely operate company vehicles for transportation of people, tools, tanks and needed material for execution Managerial/Supervisory Skills
• Very good organizational and time management skills with the ability to provide leadership, supervision and training for five (5) or more employees using positive supervisory techniques to ensure maximum productivity
• Ability to train and develop people
• Very good detail in follow-up
• Very good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, communicate clearly with customers, and management
• Very good ability to interact with staff and clients in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient
