About Kimpton Riyadh


Located in King Abdullah Financial District which is set in the heart of the Saudi capital, 22-kilometers away from the airport, Kimpton Riyadh is the first Kimpton in the Middle East bringing the brand’s playful energy, infectious personality, and unique design style to this LEED certified landmark development home to 1.6 million square meters of state-of-the-art office space, world-class venues and iconic luxury residences. A Food and Beverage Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's dining services. Here are the typical day-to-day activities for this position:


Day-to-Day Activities of a Food and Beverage Supervisor


  1. Supervising Staff:
    • Leading and mentoring the food and beverage team to ensure high standards of service.
    • Conducting briefings and training sessions to keep the team informed and motivated
  2. Overseeing Service Operations:
    • Monitoring the setup and service of dining areas, including restaurants, bars, and banquet facilities.
    • Ensuring that all areas are clean, well-maintained, and properly stocked
  3. Guest Interaction:
    • Greeting guests and ensuring they receive exceptional service.
    • Handling guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally
  4. Quality Control:
    • Inspecting food and beverage items to ensure they meet the hotel's quality standards.
    • Coordinating with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery
  5. Inventory Management:
    • Monitoring inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies.
    • Placing orders and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods
  6. Administrative Tasks:
    • Preparing and submitting reports on food and beverage operations, including sales, inventory, and staff performance
    • Maintaining accurate records of all transactions and activities
  7. Ensuring Compliance:
    • Ensuring that all food and beverage operations comply with health and safety regulations.
    • Conducting regular inspections to maintain hygiene and safety standards
  8. Event Coordination:
    • Assisting in the planning and execution of special events and banquets.
    • Coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless service during events

Skills and Qualities Needed


  1. Strong Leadership Skills:
    • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve high standards of service
  2. Attention to Detail:
    • Ensuring that all aspects of food and beverage service are impeccable
  3. Organizational Skills:
    • Managing multiple tasks and maintaining detailed records efficiently
  4. Communication Skills:
    • Communicating effectively with staff, guests, and suppliers
  5. Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Addressing and resolving issues promptly and effectively

What we need from you


Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:


• Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Administration / Business Administration 


• Two to Three years’ prior tenure in a similar role


• International luxury hotel chain background


• GCC exposure


• English Fluency is required 


• Arabic Fluency is preferred

This may involve taking on additional responsibilities as needed, especially during periods of high occupancy or in emergency situations. Your willingness to assist colleagues and contribute to the overall success of the hotel is essential in maintaining our high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
