We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fit-Out Estimator/Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of interior fit-out projects, from initial concept to completion. You will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of projects by providing accurate cost data and supporting the pre-construction and project management teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to accurately determine the scope of work.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for all aspects of interior fit-out projects, including:
- Materials: Walls, ceilings, flooring, doors, windows, etc.
- Labor: Carpentry, drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.
- Equipment: Tools, machinery, and other necessary equipment.
- Subcontractor costs: Obtain quotes from qualified subcontractors.
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and identify potential challenges.
- Prepare and maintain accurate cost databases and records.
- Analyze cost data to identify trends, potential cost overruns, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure project feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare tender documents and assist in the bidding process.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best possible prices.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Fit-Out Estimator/Engineer in the construction industry.
- Proven experience in preparing detailed cost estimates for interior fit-out projects, including:
- Commercial (offices, retail, hospitality)Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in using estimating software (e.g., Xero, Procore, Timberline).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Estimating Software Proficiency: Xero, Procore, Timberline, etc.
Construction Knowledge: Codes, materials, methods, safety.
Drawing Interpretation: Architectural, structural, MEP drawings.
Quantity Surveying: Taking off quantities, cost breakdowns.
