Firewatcher

The Firewatcher position is a critical role within the Technical Maintenance & Repair industry, particularly in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. As a Firewatcher, you will be responsible for ensuring safety during hot work operations, preventing fire hazards, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying potential risks and implementing measures to mitigate them, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel involved.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and assess the work area for potential fire hazards before and during hot work operations.
2. Ensure that all safety equipment and fire extinguishing devices are in place and operational.
3. Communicate effectively with workers to ensure they understand safety protocols and procedures.
4. Conduct regular inspections of the work area to identify and address any emerging fire risks.
5. Document all safety checks and incidents accurately and report them to the supervisor.
6. Assist in training workers on fire safety practices and emergency response procedures.
7. Coordinate with emergency services in the event of a fire or safety incident.
8. Participate in safety drills and contribute to the development of safety policies.
9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to minimize fire risks.
10. Stay updated on fire safety regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
