Inspects
and performs preventive maintenance on specialized vehicle and all fire
equipment
Completes
and maintains records of all vehicles and equipment
Serves
as a technical expert, provides work direction and assists the operations team.
Perform
daily checks and repair respective vehicles and equipment when required to
maintain serviceability at all times as per manufacturer specifications.
Ensure
serviceability and availability of all hydraulic, pneumatic, power tools, small
gear, hoses, ladders, fire extinguishers and SCBA's.
Maintain
compliance and ensure replacement plans are in place for all vehicles and
equipment.
Manage
stock and inventory for audit purposes.
Maintain
compliance to all road traffic regulations and RSAF regulations.
Always
maintains the cleanliness of vehicles and equipment.
Other
duties that may be assigned depending on operational needs of the FTC.
Skilled
in mechanical and electrical maintenance on fire fighting vehicles and equipment.
Minimum
10 years' experience in a fire service vehicle and equipment maintenance
capacity.
Considerable
knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines, fire vehicles, fire pumps and all
fire equipment to include SCBA equipment and SCBA compressor.
Thorough
knowledge of the methods, tools, and equipment used in the repair of
specialized Fire Vehicles and Equipment.
Thorough
knowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions, and safety regulations
related to the operation and repair of vehicle and equipment
Excellent
ability to communicate effectively in English, either verbally, written or
using electronic media.
Familiar
with NFPA, ICAO, IFSTA procedures and regulations.
Familiar
with ARFF and structural fire vehicle pumps and operations.
Licensed
to drive and operate specialized fire vehicles.
