Job Description

The Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of buildings and their occupants. These professionals are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems and firefighting equipment. With the increasing importance of fire safety regulations, the demand for skilled technicians in this field is on the rise. Technicians must possess a solid understanding of fire safety protocols and be able to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities:

  1. Install and configure fire alarm systems in accordance with safety standards.
  2. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of fire alarms and firefighting equipment.
  3. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with fire alarm systems and firefighting apparatus.
  4. Provide training and guidance to clients on the proper use of fire safety equipment.
  5. Ensure compliance with local fire safety regulations and standards.
  6. Prepare detailed reports on inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed.
  7. Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide on-site support.
  8. Collaborate with other safety professionals to develop fire safety plans.
  9. Stay updated on the latest fire safety technologies and regulations.
  10. Assist in the development of fire safety training programs for staff and clients.

  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  4. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  5. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  6. Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks.
  7. Knowledge of electrical systems and fire safety codes.
  8. Certification in fire safety or related fields is a plus.
  9. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
