About the job Financial Billing Specialist

Hill International is a leading global construction consulting firm that provides program and project management, construction management, cost engineering and estimating, quality assurance, inspection, scheduling, risk management and claims avoidance to clients involved in major construction projects worldwide. We are currently seeking a Financial Billing Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.


As a Financial Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the billing process for multiple construction projects in the region. Your main duties will include preparing and reviewing project invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness of billing data, and communicating with project managers and clients to resolve any billing issues. You will also be responsible for maintaining project billing files and updating project financial records.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and billing, with experience in the construction industry preferred. You should have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of billing software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.


Key Responsibilities:


- Prepare and review project invoices in accordance with contract terms and client requirements


- Ensure accuracy and completeness of billing data, including labor, materials, and other project costs


- Communicate with project managers and clients to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues


- Maintain project billing files and update project financial records


- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes


- Generate various financial reports and analysis as needed


- Keep up-to-date with industry standards and best practices for billing and invoicing


- Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and procedures related to billing and invoicing


- Adhere to company policies and procedures, and comply with relevant regulations and laws


- Other duties as assigned by management


Qualifications:


- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field


- Minimum of 5 years of experience in billing or accounting, preferably in the construction industry


- Strong understanding of accounting principles and billing processes


- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of billing software


- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills


- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines


- Strong communication and interpersonal skills


- Fluency in English, both written and verbal


- Experience working in Saudi Arabia is a plus


- Ability to work full-time in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
